Field Course in Chemical Ecology of Plants and Insects

Data: 05/11/07 - Segunda-feira - Este evento já foi realizado

Informações: Reserva Nacional Río Clarillo, Chile

One of the aims of IFS/MISTRA programs is to establish research, training, and information links of mutual benefit between Swedish scientists and active scientists in developing countries, and to strenghten through such links their capacity to conduct relevant research on the sustainable use of biological resources.

The IFS/MISTRA field course in Chemical Ecology of Plants and Insects course will be given in English and is aimed principally at Latin American graduate students (MSc, PhD) in Biology, Agriculture, Forestry or Chemistry with an interest in Chemical Ecology. The course uses group project work to allow students to explore ecological questions in the field of Chemical Ecology. Students will receive help and guidance their teachers as they develop their own group projects, concept to written presentation, inspired by the flora and fauna of the Río Clarillo National Park. The course will be taught by:

Prof. Olle Anderbrant
Ecology, Lund University, Lund, Sweden
